Description

Docon board was designed to control a 12V DC motor as part of an automatic self-closing door.

A clean contact from a Push-button or Radar Detection Unit will initiate door opening. Door will open at a fast rate to approx. one foot from the end of travel where it slows down to 1/4 of its former speed until it hits a solid stop.

A preset Auto Close timer ( Preset time varies from 1/2, 2, 5, 10 Seconds ) starts to close door. Again, door travels fast to a preset point ( Set by a magnetic limit switch ) where it slows down until it hits an obstruction.

Should door hit an object whilst closing, it instantly stops and reverses.

Door will not close while “input” is closed, ie. from Push button or Radar Unit and naturally door will also stop and reverse should “ Radar “ detect an object during closing of door.

Limit Switches are not devices to stop door but merely a point at which the door slows down to find its own stop. In other words not “ critical “ in its setting, can therefore be preset at factory.

Power Requirements: 24V DC at 4 Amps (Current used is mainly for DC motor).

For Battery back-up a Regulator board is available to charge and connect Battery to Control Unit.
